Halton Hive is the company’s internal intranet platform used across multiple offices worldwide. The project included a full migration from an outdated WordPress system to a modern Bedrock-based platform with improved architecture, new custom post types, better search tools, and Azure-powered user management.
My Role
- ▹Migrated the old intranet to a new WordPress Bedrock architecture
- ▹Created new custom post types, taxonomies, and internal tools
- ▹Implemented advanced search functionalities for employees, documents, and posts
- ▹Integrated Microsoft Azure services to automatically sync and update user profiles
- ▹Enhanced and stabilized SSO (Azure AD) for secure authentication
- ▹Improved the Hive core plugins, content logic, and admin workflows
Challenges

- ▹Handling complex role-based visibility and multi-location content rules
